2.2 Exclusions
The following items are excluded from our services unless specifically agreed upon:
- Hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos, chemicals)
- Valuable items (e.g., jewelry, important documents)
- Movers of large appliances unless prearranged
3. Booking and Scheduling
To schedule our services, customers must contact Clapham House Clearance through our official communication channels. A mutually convenient date and time will be agreed upon. We reserve the right to reschedule if unforeseen circumstances arise.
3.1 Confirmation
Once a booking is made, a confirmation will be sent to the customer detailing the agreed-upon services, date, time, and cost. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all details are correct.
3.2 Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance will incur no penalty. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total service cost.
4. Pricing and Payment
Our pricing structure is based on the volume of items, complexity of the clearance, and any additional services required. A detailed quote will be provided upon assessment.
4.1 Payment Terms
Payments are due upon completion of the services unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers. All payments must be received in full before any remaining items are released to the customer.
4.2 Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply for:

- Extended working hours
- Accessing difficult-to-reach areas
- Emergency clearances
5. Customer Obligations
The customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate information regarding the property and items to be cleared
- Ensure safe access to the property on the scheduled date
- Inform Clapham House Clearance of any restrictions or special instructions
- Remove personal valuables and sensitive documents prior to clearance
6. Clapham House Clearance Obligations
Clapham House Clearance commits to:
- Perform services with professionalism and care
- Adhere to agreed schedules and deadlines
- Dispose of items in an environmentally responsible manner
- Maintain clear communication with the customer throughout the process
7. Liability and Insurance
Clapham House Clearance is insured for public and employer’s liability. However, our liability for any loss or damage is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for:
- Items left in hidden or inaccessible areas
- Pre-existing damage to the property
- Loss of any item not explicitly listed in the service agreement
8. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising from our services, both parties agree to seek an amicable resolution through negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter may be escalated to mediation or legal proceedings as necessary.
